Kim Delaney was an American actress from America. She is most famous for her character, Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC drama series NYPD Blue. For this she won the Emmy Award. Also, she has appeared in shows like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney has a father who was an executive in the United Auto Workers who was also an auntie. Delaney has four older brothers. While she had a childhood aspiration to become journalist, it was not until high school that she began modeling. When she moved away from New York City and gaining experience as a commercial model at New York did she achieve her dream of becoming aspiring court reporters. Her personal life unlike her professional life hasn't had a happy and successful. The skilled actor struggled with alcoholism and has had two divorces. In 2005, she was denied the custody of her only son.
